What should I pack?
Formal cocktail attire is requested for the wedding ceremony and reception. Gals in dresses, guys in shirts with a tie and/or suit jacket. There will be a short walk from the top of the gondola to the outdoor ceremony site on dirt, rock and uneven ground. For the weekend we recommend bringing sneakers or hiking shoes, warmer jackets for the evening, some activewear and sunnies!
How to manage altitude?
The elevation of Telluride is 8,750'. For those traveling from sea level, remember to drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen, and "two to three drinks is more like having four to five drinks for low-altitude people. You can reach theTelluride Medical Center, (970) 728-3848 if you are in need of medical care.
What's the weather like?
Early June is a beautiful time in Telluride. Expect temps to be high while the sun is shining, and cold at night. Telluride is a high-altitude mountain town and the weather can change quickly. It’s always a good idea to pack layers, sunscreen, and expect to have a jacket, scarf, or hat for the evening. Bring a rain jacket and/or light puffy coat - just in case!
Are kids invited?
As much as we love your little ones, the Wedding Day will be an adult-only celebration. Local babysitting services are available at Telluride Sitters or Annie’s Nannies. We hope this advance notice means you’re able to let your hair down and celebrate with us on the big day!
Can I bring a plus one?
Your invitation will specify how many seats have been saved in your honor. When you RSVP through the online form, please ensure you respond for yourself, your guest, and/or your family.
What is the best way to RSVP?
We will be doing online RSVPs through our Paperless Post invitations. Please be sure to note any dietary restrictions in the RSVP.
Do I need a car?
Once you’re in Telluride the town is very walkable, all events are centrally located or access by the free, public gondola. The gondola takes approximately 25 minutes to ride from the Town of Telluride to the Mountain Village, with the ceremony location midway (allow 15 minutes for the gondola ride to the ceremony location). It’s important to note there are almost no taxis or ride-share apps. Do not count on this as an option from airports! Our recommendation if booking an airport shuttle is Telluride Express.
