Our Telluride Recommendations
Things to do
Bear Creek Falls Hike
The view of Bear Creek Falls is well worth the trek up 1,050 feet in elevation. The beautiful and well-marked wooded trail ends in a magnificent set of waterfalls and an unbeatable view of the town of Telluride. As an out-and-back, you can turn around at any point.
Jud Wiebe Hike
The Jud Wiebe Trail is a favorite hike that can be accessed right from town. You will travel through groves of aspen trees, wide open meadows, and see panoramic views of Telluride all the way from Bridal Veil Falls to the Valley Floor. This is a loop that will take roughly 2-3 hours depending on pace.
Mountain Biking / Bike Park
The Telluride Bike Park is a completely unique lift-served experience with a variety of interconnected trails. www.tellurideskiresort.com/bike-park
Ballon Festival and Glow
The Telluride Balloon Festival is one of the most special weekends in Telluride with balloon launches on Saturday and Sunday mornings (think of getting a high vantage point by 6 a.m.), weather permitting, and a "Balloon Glow" on Main Street on Saturday night from dusk on.
Eat & Drink
The Coffee Cowboy
Find this cute coffee cart at the base of the gondola for great lattes, pastries, smoothies and more.
The Butcher and the Baker
The classic breakfast and lunch bakery. Think pastries, eggs, sandwiches and cold drinks. They also have a bar for an afternoon cocktail.
The New Sheridan
You’re more classic brunch establishment.
La Cocina de Luz
The locals go-to for fresh and healthy Mexican for lunch or dinner, they have a great patio for eating outside.
Oak
This is our staple for apres in the winter. With a large outdoor patio this is a great spot for large groups to grab a beer, burger, wings or fries. Located in the Gondola plaza in Telluride, it’s a central spot to meet.
